Mixed Media Surfaces
For this task I had to produce a range of different techniques using
Black byro
Pencil
Black ink

Black byro
For this piece, I had to use a black byro on a piece of A2 card. I used the technique called crosshatching. As you can see above i used the crosshatching technique in all 8 directions.
For this piece I used black byro and water. First I drew scribbly lines on the page and then i put a bit of water on the top and let the water drip down the page, Doing this caused the black byro to smudge.
Pencil
For this piece I used a pencil. For this technique I used the side of the pencil to create a smudging effect. After I smudged the whole of the section I started to erase small areas within the smudged section.
Black ink
Mixed Materials
In this piece I used watercolour and water. With the watercolour I split my paper into 3 section and each section being a different technique. In the first technique i just coloured 3 boxes in the colours yellow, red and blue the second technique I used the same technique however I went from dark to light. The third and final technique I used the same 3 colours and blended the colours into the colour below it.
In these 2 pieces I simply blended 2 colours to add an effect. The first piece i used blue and green and in the second technique I used blue and red.
In this piece I used a piece of black tissue paper some ink and some bleach. I applied bleach to the tissue paper then I applied ink where i added bleach giving it a light effect.
In this piece I rolled some acrylic paint onto some bubble wrap and the i printed the bubble wrap onto a piece of paper giving it this effect.
In this piece I used some masking tape and watercolour. I stuck some masking tape onto a piece of paper then i added watercolour to the paper giving it this dark and light effect. I like how it makes the tape stand out.
In this piece i used the same technique with the bubble wrap however I first put some red acrylic paint on the paper before applying the bubblewrap.
In this piece I used the same technique with the tissue paper and ink and bleach. However I used white tissue paper and I applied more ink and bleach.
In this piece I used the same technique with masking tape and watercolour however I used a mixture of green and brown watercolour.

In this piece I used acrylic paint and a sponge. I applied some paint onto a sponge and then I started to apply the paint on the sponge onto a piece of paper giving it this effect.
